To the extent that it’s ‘difficult’, ‘wordy’, witty, provocatively imaginative in content and style, topical, relevant, risky, compassionately sympathetic to ‘others’, and gives presence and soulful expression to the dispossessed - this is the kind of theatre MERMAID PARADE aspires to produce with excellence: shows that engage audiences in emotional and intellectually evocative experiences.
